Prior Lake Outlet System Reports

The Prior Lake Outlet System consists of the Prior Lake Outlet Channel (PLOC) and Outlet Structure. It is an integral part of the Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District (PLSLWD), because the system addresses high water levels on Prior Lake and serves as a trunk stormwater system for the City of Prior Lake, City of Shakopee, and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community. Each year PLSLWD staff compiles monitoring data in an Annual Operations Report.

Prior Lake – Spring Lake Watershed District

The District covers about 42 square miles in Scott County, MN. Water in the PLSLWD flows mainly from the southwest to the northeast through Spring, Upper Prior and Lower Prior Lakes, and then north through the Prior Lake Outlet Channel to the Minnesota River near Valley Fair amusement park.
