Would you like to see your lawn transformed native flowers, and support pollinators and Minnesota wildlife? The Scott Soil & Water Conservation District is hosting a free Lawns to Legumes workshop via webinar on July 28 at 6:30 pm. Learn how to do your part to support pollinators, protect local water quality and see how you can enrich your landscape! You don’t need a large property to add native plants for pollinators.
Join the Scott SWCD for an overview of the Lawns to Legumes program in Scott County and how to receive funding for a project in your yard. RSVP is required for this free webinar here.
Lawns to Legumes is a state program aimed at increasing pollinator habitat in residential areas to support declining pollinator populations including that of our endangered state bee, the rusty patched bumblebee. The Scott SWCD has received a Neighborhood Grant as part of the program to fund pollinator habitat in demonstration neighborhoods on residential property.
