RSVP online here. The Farmer-Led Council was formed in 2013 to help develop and guide the implementation strategies that the Watershed District uses to reduce nutrient runoff to the lakes from agricultural sources in the watershed.
The Farmer-Led Council (FLC) has initiated new, innovative programs in the watershed, such as the Lake-Friendly Farm Program. Many of the cost-share programs created by the Council have now been adopted throughout Scott County. The Council continues to explore other programming that is a win-win for farmers and for the lakes.
The Lake-Friendly Farm Program was created by the FLC to recognize farmers that are doing an outstanding job of managing their operation in a way that protects the water resources in the Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District. For more information about this program, visit the project page here.
