Is your lake shoreline shrinking? Wave action, ice heaves and a lack of buffers along your shoreline can all cause your shoreline to erode away. Come learn learn how to protect and stabilize the area between your lawn and the stream bank or shoreline at the “Stabilize Your Shoreline” Workshop on Thursday, October 6th from 6:30-8:30 pm. The event will be held at Spring Lake Town Hall (20381 Fairlawn Avenue) and all Scott County residents are welcome to attend. Please pre-register at the event page.
Can’t attend the event? Visit our Learn More page to find out how you can protect your shoreline or improve water quality in your own home and yard. Cost-Share programs are available to provide technical planning and financial assistance for Shoreline and Raingarden projects.
