Minnesota DNR has reached out to the Spring Lake Association to inform them that the Spring Lake public access is scheduled to be closed for a maintenance and site improvement project beginning September 6th and plans to have the majority of the work done and the ramp open by October 15th. During the construction they plan to keep the ramp open as much as possible, however, it will be difficult to predict which days it will be open or closed, so please plan accordingly.
The project includes improvements to the storm water management, the addition of an Aquatic Invasive Species boat inspection and cleaning area, new (night sky friendly) lighting, a new boat ramp, new bituminous for the parking lots, and shoreline restoration. If you have any additional questions you can contact Nancy Stewart at the DNR (nancy.stewart@state.mn.us).
